About brand
Halfdays started with a simple problem: ski gear built for men, resized and recolored for women, and called “unisex.” Olympic freestyle skier Kiley McKinnon lived that problem firsthand — competing in wear that never fit right, never moved right, and never felt like it was made for her body. Alongside co-founder Ariana Ferwerda, she set out to fix it.
Founded in 2020, Halfdays now makes technical ski and outdoor apparel for women — fully waterproof, seam-taped, and built with the details real skiers care about: pass pockets, goggle wipes, snack pockets, sizing that actually fits a range of bodies. The look is bold and colorful, but the performance is real. Every piece is tested on the mountain before it reaches you.
What began as a ski jacket brand has grown into a full mountain lifestyle line — base layers, fleece, hiking gear — while ski stays at the core. Halfdays is now sold at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Revolve, and Sporting Life, with a fast-growing following of women who ski a few times a winter and want gear that keeps up with the rest of their life too.
This isn’t gear built for the boys’ club. It’s built for you.

FAQ
The jacket performs well in most winter conditions, though — like most insulated shells — it’s designed to be layered. In temperatures below 15°F, pairing it with a base layer and midlayer is recommended for full warmth.
Fit runs slightly closer than standard ski wear. Most customers find their usual size works well through the shoulders and body; if you prefer extra room for layering, sizing up is a common choice.
Yes, the shell is fully waterproof and seam-taped, so no moisture gets through the seams — tested in both wet snow and rain conditions.
This jacket is built with warmth as the priority, so it runs on the warmer side. On high-output days or in milder weather, unzipping the underarm vents helps regulate temperature.
The shell and seams are built for repeated wear season after season. As with any jacket, following the care instructions on the tag helps maintain waterproofing over time.
Yes — the cut is designed with a wider size range and body shapes in mind, not just a single standard fit, so the proportions stay flattering across sizes.
Every pocket is placed with skiing in mind — pass pocket, goggle wipe, and phone storage are all positioned for easy access with gloves on, not just decoration.
Yes, as long as you follow the tag’s care instructions — using a technical detergent and reproofing product when needed keeps the waterproofing intact over time.

Testimonials
From first-timers to seasoned skiers, here’s what customers are saying after putting this jacket to the test in real winter conditions.
I’ve bought ski jackets for over a decade and this is the first one that actually fit my body without feeling bulky or boxy. Wore it in 12°F with just one midlayer and stayed warm all day.

Jessica, 34
I usually stick to more basic gear, but this jacket surprised me. The fit was solid through the shoulders without feeling stiff, and it kept me warm through a full day of lift lines and runs.

Ryan, 29
Took this on a trip to Colorado in single-digit temps and stayed comfortable the whole time. The vents actually work too — didn’t overheat hiking up to a few off-piste spots.
